As the prices of home textile raw materials fluctuate significantly, labor costs, financing costs continue to rise, and power shortages are affected by various factors, "opening up the industrial chain to jointly develop new products and increase product added value" has become the consensus of upstream and downstream enterprises in the textile industry chain. The advent of bamboo fiber has undoubtedly provided strong support for the home textile industry.

According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics of 1,514 home textile enterprises above designated size, industrial sales increased by more than 23% in the first half of 2011, export delivery value increased by 24.87% year-on-year, and profit indicators showed a year-on-year increase of 31.64%. However, since June, the home textile market has shown a sluggish trend. First, domestic sales have not shown strong demand in the same period in previous years; second, export volume has declined. The high cost of production factors has led to a rapid rise in production costs and poor product price transmission. In 2011, cotton prices fluctuated significantly and production costs continued to rise. Based on the above situation, cotton spinning companies focused on developing new fibers, new fabrics, new technologies, and new products.

Apply new fibers and technologies to enhance product added value
It is understood that by the end of 2010, there were more than 70,000 tons of new fibers in the domestic cotton spinning market. Among them, bamboo fiber and other fibers have been widely used in the production of home textile products and have been recognized by consumers. Other new fibers such as Tencel, chitosan fiber, corn-like silk fiber, milk fiber, soybean fiber, wood fiber and other new fibers are being developed and gradually used in the production practice of home textile products.
The cross-section of bamboo fiber is full of pores, and the high degree of hollowness can instantly absorb and evaporate a large amount of water, giving bamboo fiber good moisture absorption and breathability. The fiber has natural antibacterial and antibacterial properties and can resist the proliferation of bacteria; it is biodegradable and can be completely degraded by microorganisms and sunlight in the soil. This decomposition process will not cause environmental pollution. The textiles produced from this fiber have properties such as finer unit fineness, smooth hand feel, strong toughness and wear resistance, and excellent recovery and drape properties.
In recent years, the application and promotion of new spinning technologies have achieved remarkable results. In particular, the corresponding compact spinning and siro spinning modifications on the ring spinning machine have made the bamboo fiber yarn less hairy, wear-resistant, and compact in structure, which greatly meets the fabric style requirements of home textile products.

The ultra-soft compact spinning bamboo fiber yarn has the characteristics of small kink number and small twist coefficient. It not only retains the smoothness, good strength and color fastness of the bamboo fiber compact spinning yarn, but also does not need to add softeners and hair removers to achieve a softer effect than ring spinning. Bamboo fiber towels and bathrobes made of ultra-soft compact yarn are soft, comfortable and highly hygroscopic.

Bamboo fiber fabrics can enhance product functionality
Bamboo fiber series fabrics are home textile fabrics produced using new bamboo pulp fiber yarns as raw materials and through new spinning technology and electronic jacquard technology. They have antibacterial and UV protection functions.
The soft silk fiber used in the soft silk bamboo fiber series fabrics is a plant protein-modified cellulose fiber. Its raw materials are plant protein and cellulose, which are obtained from renewable green plant fibers in nature. It is a degradable and environmentally friendly fiber.

Tencel fiber, one of the raw materials used in the Tencel/Bamboo fiber series fabrics, is a regenerated cellulose fiber processed and developed from 100% natural wood pulp extracted from coniferous trees. Non-toxic, non-polluting, degradable, with natural fiber characteristics, suitable for home clothing.

Innovative weaving technology diversifies products
While bamboo fiber manufacturing companies are developing new fibers and new fabrics, they are also constantly exploring craft products that not only meet today's low-carbon and environmentally friendly requirements, but also meet customers' comfort and personalized requirements.
In order to adapt to the ever-changing market conditions, improve product quality, and improve the competitiveness and risk resistance of bamboo companies in the market, many bamboo fiber textile companies have increased their exploration of bamboo fiber fabrics and actively provided greater space and strong guarantee for bamboo fiber companies downstream in the industrial chain to increase the added value of their products.
