OEKO-TEX 2026 new regulations will officially take effect on June 1, five core changes need to be focused on
The OEKO-TEX® Association routinely updates testing standards and limit values at the beginning of each year. The 2026 standard update has been significantly enhanced, and a number of key indicators have undergone important adjustments, which will officially take effect on June 1. This update focuses on PFAS control, new restrictions on hazardous substances, optimization of certification processes and other dimensions, which directly affects the compliance certification of textile, leather and other related products. Companies need to grasp changes in a timely manner to avoid the risk of certification failure. Change 1: The PFOS limit value has been significantly tightened. The PFOS (perfluorooctane sulfonate) limit value has been tightened to 1 mg/kg, and this standard will be applied simultaneously.
