On July 7, the 2016 Dalang Woolen Weaving Promotion Conference and the 15th China (Dalang) International Woolen Weaving Products Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Weaving Fair") press conference was held in Beijing. Yang Jichao, vice president of the China Textile and Apparel Federation and president of the China Knitting Industry Association, Huang Shuyuan, president of the China Wool Textile Industry Association, Lin Yunfeng, vice president of the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Deng Weihong, deputy secretary of the Dalang Town Committee and mayor, attended the press conference. In 2015, the total industrial output value of Dalang Woolen Weaving Industry reached 19.2 billion yuan, accounting for 38.2% of the town's total industrial output value. The sweaters produced are very popular in the international market, and 75% are exported to more than 80 countries and regions including the United States, Russia, Italy, and Brazil.
Facing the new normal, Dalang Woolen Textile Industry Cluster has further accelerated the pace of transformation and upgrading with clear ideas and decisive measures. The "Dalang Situation" in which informatization and industrialization are highly integrated, technological structure is optimized, product added value is increased, the industrial chain is lengthened, and industrial agglomeration and influence continue to increase is becoming increasingly clear.
In the past five years, Dalang has focused on the construction of a 10-square-kilometer China Woolen Trade City and has rapidly promoted the construction of six major projects, including the leading enterprise driving project, the public platform integration project, the regional brand marketing project, the regional standard promotion project, the transaction index release project, and the cultural and creative leadership project.
