According to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to May 2016, the total profit of the national textile industry above designated size was 74.86 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.9%; the main business income was 1,514.74 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%. In addition, the total profit of the textile, clothing and apparel industry above designated size was 47.63 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%; the main business income was 859.77 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%.
