It is reported that the scientific and technological project jointly undertaken by Zhejiang Shumet Textile Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Ancient Fiber Road Co., Ltd. and Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences - new high-performance PTT, PTT/PET elastic fiber spinning processing technology and high-end textile design, textile, dyeing and finishing one-stop new technology, have recently passed expert acceptance.

The new polyester PTT fiber is a polyester fiber like spandex. It has the characteristics of polyester and nylon, and has particularly excellent softness and elastic recovery. It is easy to dye and is suitable for the development of high-end clothing and functional fabrics. As a raw material for the industrial production of PTT, it is partially freed from the constraints of petroleum resources and can partially solve the petrochemical resource crisis and environmental pollution problems. Therefore, in the near future, PTT fiber will gradually replace polyester, nylon and spandex and become a large-scale new fiber in the 21st century, representing the new trend of chemical fiber development in this century.

According to reports, the domestic market expansion of PTT fiber back-end textiles is still at a stage of understanding and acceptance, and some common technologies still need to be tackled. This has resulted in the current high price of PTT fiber back-end textiles, which has great market prospects.
